The People’s Impact Network (PIN) was born from a simple act of compassion that sparked something much greater. In 2020, Namitha Nayak and a group of friends launched an initiative called Clothes for Caring to support their beloved friend Linda Meinke, an avid marathoner facing a life-altering ALS diagnosis. They began collecting and selling gently used clothes to help cover Linda’s medical expenses.
What began as a small gesture of love quickly evolved into a powerful movement. The project not only brought financial relief but also united the community, showcasing the transformative power of collective action.
That spirit lives on through PIN. Today, we continue to build on those roots with a mission to:
• Support those in need
• Promote sustainable fashion
• Foster a strong sense of community
By facilitating the reuse of South Asian and ethnic clothing, PIN champions sustainability while funding programs that make a lasting impact. One garment at a time, we’re turning compassion into action.
To promote sustainable fashion by facilitating the reuse of ethnic clothing and to support programs that benefit the community.
To become largest facilitator of ethnic clothing reuse in USA.
To ensure our programs and grants are inclusive and accessible to All.
